One owner for the work between providers.

LCS manages the interfaces among external providers and the client's internal teams. Provider briefs, handovers and reporting follow the same European operating model.

4PL coordination and European logistics governance

Independent 4PL responsibility

A 3PL is responsible for a defined part of the logistics operation. LCS is responsible for how those parts connect and assesses provider decisions by their effect on the European business.

Named ownership at each handover

We assign responsibility for each handover that can affect cost, compliance or customer service. This makes gaps between local provider contracts visible and gives each gap an owner.

Reports that lead to corrective action

Service reports should show why a failure occurred and who will correct it. LCS relates delivery performance to its effect on inventory, customs clearance and customers, then follows the corrective action to completion.

When to involve LCS

  • Several 3PLs or specialists operate with no overall owner
  • Management cannot see the complete order and inventory flow
  • Provider decisions that damage the wider operation
  • The company needs to change providers while retaining control
